Cuba and the Caribbean: Challenges on Regional Development
The Seminar entitled “The Caribbean, Cuba and the challenges for Regional Development”, jointly coordinated with the Institute of International Relations (IIR of the University of the West Indies and the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba.
Included in this seminar, were presentations delivered by several noted academics, including Dr. Antonio F. Romero Gomez, Chair of “Norman Girvan” Centre for Caribbean Studies, University of Havana (UH); Dr Marlen Sánchez, Senior Researcher at the Centre for International Economic Studies, UH; Milagros Elena Martínez Reinosa, Assistant Researcher and Associate Professor, UH; Dr Omar E. Pérez, Senior Lecturer at the Centre for the Study of the Cuban Economy, UH and Santiago Pérez Benítez, Researcher at the Research Centre for International Policy, UH.
This event took place at the ACS Headquarters, 5-7 Sweet Briar Road, St. Clair on Thursday, November 5th, 2015
This Seminar will be the first in the Association’s Series entitled “Dialogues on the Wider Caribbean” as an integral part of its programme of cooperation on Education and Culture.
