ACS meets with the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States
The Directorate for Cooperation and Resource Mobilisation (DCRM), under the stewardship of Director Ingrid Jacobs, and the Directorate for Trade and Sustainable Development (DTSD), under the stewardship of Director Safiya Horne-Bique of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS), held a meeting today with the Director of Economic Affairs & Regional Integration of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), Jacqueline Emmanuel-Flood. There were conversations towards forging partnerships in cooperation by collaborating in a Fast-Ferry regional service Project.
Joint collaborations and cooperation will lead to expanded impacts and bigger opportunities, and will attract the interest of donors and private sector investors for this initiative. The goal is to promote the creation of a viable Fast-Ferry Service within the Greater Caribbean region which will promote development opportunities in trade, transport, tourism and environmental sustainability that in turn will foster cooperation and integration among countries. This initiative will also build closer ties with CARICOM, OECS and the ACS as partners in this project.
Participating officials from OECS, also included Imran Williams, and Karen Williams. Other participating ACS officials, included Advisor Ms. Safiya Reid from DTSD, and Kafi Nicholas, and Johakson Moncada from DCRM.
